- Never bring up mistakes of the past. Stop criticizing others or it will come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven (Luke 6:37).
- Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? (Mark 8:36) - Never go to sleep with an argument unsettled.
And don't sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry (Ephesians 4:26). - At least once a day, try to say something complimentary to your spouse.
Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit (Proverbs 15:4). - Never meet without an affectionate welcome.Kiss me again and again, your love is sweeter than wine (Song of Solomon 1:2).
- "For richer or poorer" - rejoice in every moment that God has given you together.
A bowl of soup with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate (Proverbs 15:17). - If you have a choice between making yourself or your mate look good, choose your mate.
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it's in your power to help them (Proverbs 3:27). - If they're breathing, your mate will eventually offend you. Learn to forgive.
I am warning you, if another believer sins, rebuke him; then if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him (Luke 17:3,4). - Don't use faith, the Bible, or God as a hammer.
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it (John 3:17). - Let love be your guidepost.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged (1 Cor. 13:4,5).

MARRIAGE
ARE YOU READY?
Marriage is a wonderful gift from God whereby a man and woman from different family background are united together and become one flesh
as the word of God said. Marriage is an Institution of its own, in the beginning
it started with celebrations from parents, families, friends, co-workers, and
different groups. These celebrations are very encouraging to couples in such a
way it didn’t provide the true picture of the Marital life.
Many couples are not prepared to be wife and husband, that
is why some spend even one month together and call off the marriage. Myself I will
not blame the couples but the system or culture, even in some churches they don’t
have programs for preparing expectants. Others have gone far to prepare only
side..the bride…..May be they think she is going to live alone? Or the
bridegroom knows a lot in such a way he is not supposed to gain anymore? May be
one of the above..what is your view
Both bride and bridegroom should be prepared on what is
expected from them immediately after Mlimani City Hall ,from that 40 Million
Bombastic Wedding. Yes both of them! This will reduce some unnecessary conflict
that may occur in their roadway to real life.
I have tried to speak with some people who unfortunately
had separated with their partners most of them is due to lack of
preparations, some they just entered in the marriage because they would like to
wear that amazing David Bridal Dress and that glittering Diamond or Gold rings.
Cooking,Dishwashing, taking care of the baby, taking care of the family they have
read on the magazine or watch in the video its far from their responsibilities.
Previously Matron and Bestman were expected to play at
least a part in preparing the couples, but these days its just the matter of
Fashion,Imagine!
If you are planning to get marriage ask yourself this
questions am I ready? What will be my responsibilities and what
are the consequences on not doing my part?
Some of things that are expected from couples are:
· To
Love God because he is the authour of marriage and above all he has created and united you,so he will guide you accordingly
· To
love your partner as you love yourself
· Communication
· Forgiveness
· Spending
quality time together by Praying
· House
chores ,to understand who will deal with what..
· To
be Real You, No Faking some called it True color
· Others, you will get it from your local Pastor and Parents.
The last bullet can be the first and more wide, that’s why
Its bold
Okay now that you are in the marriage and you find yourself at
crossroad its not too late…start today
